We’re building a community of passionate people who care about championing teach for good that has the potential to solve some of the world’s biggest challenges. Introducing Ignite For Change.
We exist to champion tech for good that changes millions of lives for the better.
Which is why we’re making the bold move to Ignite a spark of change and build a community who can raise their collective voice in advocating solutions to the world’s biggest challenges.
Ignite For Change is a movement to bring together a community of like-minded people who care about finding solutions to the world’s biggest challenges.
Using our collective voice we can create a movement within the industries, businesses and governments that have the power to actually make a difference.
We unite those who want to spark a change in the world, let’s stop talking about the crisis and start building the tech to fix it.
By 2050, it’s predicted that there will be more plastic in our oceans than fish.
As a society, we can’t accept this bleak vision of the future.
We’ve never lived in a more climate-conscious world. The majority of people recycle and want to live as sustainably as possible.
Question is; why is the current recycling process so unbelievably inefficient?
As a society so dedicated to recycling, it’s almost impossible to understand why so much of plastic waste ends up in landfills and our oceans. In reality the mix-waste recycling centres can’t effectively recycle and reuse the plastics we return to them.
This is mainly because of material contamination. Centres can’t detect or extract the elements of plastics that can actually be recycled and get it back to the manufacturers.
The current linear supply chain was never designed to get materials back to their original source. It isn’t fit for purpose.
A radical rethink of the traditional process of produce, use and dispose of.
A circular plastic economy has the concept of reusing and recycling baked in. In a circular plastic economy, no waste ends up in landfills or our oceans as reusing and recycling plastic products is designed in at each stage.
A great example of this concept is the New Plastics Economy initiative from the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, who aim to achieve their vision through three key areas;
For us to achieve a circular plastic economy, we need to innovate at the stages within the process which have the most potential to have an impact. Using tech for good to disrupt the way the world handles plastics in their lives.
What if we could empower consumers with knowledge on how to effectively recycle? What if we could use existing supply chains to deliver plastic back to the people who can actually reuse it?
We’re developing a solution that could help retailers facilitate a direct relationship between consumers and brands.
Only the manufacturers themselves have the capability to efficiently recycle their own plastics, only retailers have the infrastructure to facilitate this relationship between us and the manufacturers.
Only by coming together and making change at each stage in this process can we truly make a difference in combating the plastic crisis.
For too long have we sat back and watched the plastic crisis rise while shouting about the issues and discussing the problems, not the solutions.
We’re developing the solution to the plastic crisis by leveraging technology to educate consumers, leverage existing supply chains and facilitate a circular plastic economy.
So like, share, follow, support, become a backer and help us show the brands and retailers that we’re willing to fulfil our side of the bargain if they give us the chance to.
Back the campaign and join our cause to combat the plastic crisis. Help us Ignite change and spark the plastic revolution.
